I plan to get back to regular postings as I slowly get settled down in Hyderabad. I have been out of the loop for the past two weeks, but as I was trying to get caught up with The Wandering Musicphile, I came across this song. Just what I needed. Patience with the build up, the song and the visuals only get better.

This band isn't typical of my blog, but the homie Aaron requested I feature them. Always good to break the mold! Two dudes from Ireland that know how to combine acoustics, programming, and atmospheric jams.

Diaphane

Diaphane: Woven silk "stuff" with transparent and colored figures, also the name of Régis Baillet's solo project. This french artist creates dark and mellow soundscapes that are sure to captivate.

This Will Destroy You

Probably not a new band for most, but I saw This Will Destroy You last week in Denver and was very impressed. I was shocked how much heavier they sound live! These four guys from San Marcos know how to make some good down to earth post rock. Enjoy.
